Scope:
This European standard describes methods used of the analyses of calcium carbonate, high-calcium lime and half-burnt dolomite used to treat water for human consumption. NOTE: Of the reference methods described, the atomic spectroscopy methods are preferred to the conventional methods. If methods other than those described are used, it should be demonstrated that the results are equivalent to those of the reference methods. The schematic diagram of the chemical analysis is given in annex A.
