Scope:

This standard specifies general requirements for mechanical joints connecting PEM/PEH pipes to pipes or components of other materials for pipelines for gas distribution. The standard covers mechanical joints for gas distribution pipes according to DS 2131.2 designed for a maximum permissible service pressure of 0.4 Mpa (4 bar). The standard specifies requirements for the mechanical joints and their components, priority being given to the properties of the assembled joint.
