Scope:
This European Standard contains the specific requirements for contruction and testing of electrical apparatus, parts of electrical apparatus and Ex components in the type of protection "m", intended for use in potentially explosive atmospheres. This European Standard applies to electrical apparatus, parts of electrical apparatus and Ex components which have rated voltages not exceeding 11 kV. This European Standard supplements European Standard EN 50014 "General requirements" with the following exceptions.
