Scope:

This European Standard specifies the methods of measuring biological degradations (insect; fungi; etc.) taken into account in the visual grading of sawn timber and round timber for appearance or to assess its mechanical properties. It does not apply to the strength grading of structural timber (See EN 518 and EN 519).
