Scope:
The standard specifies safety requirements on the structure of domestic built-in and free-standing kitchen units, work tops and breakfast bars including those with glass in their construction. It applies only to units after installation and only to domestic kitchen use. However, safety depending on the structure of the building is not included, e.g. the strength of the wall hanging cabinets include only the cabinets and its parts. The wall and the fixing in the wall is not included.
