Scope:
This European Standard specifies safety requirements for electrical devices for cableways and skitows for passenger transportation by rope. In doing so, the different cableway systems and their environments are taken into account. This standard contains requirements for prevention of accidents and protection of workers. This standard does not apply to cableways for transportation of goods or to inclined lifts.
