Scope:
The object of the requirements of this code is so to preclud e or reduce groundwater pressure on buildings, that it will be possible in a reasonable manner, and with due regard to t heir use, to keep such buildings dry. The code covers all me asures for draining away ground water from buildings, tunnel s, canals, retaining walls and similar structures in earth, irrespective of the type and origin of the materials of whic h the drainage system is composed
